CONSTRUCTION
Weather: Weather cooperated for the most part-not
much rain.
Unit 106: Unit A is lacking the final touches:
closets, granite counters, plumbing fixtures and a
final cleaning. Unit B is about a week behind A. The
upper two units are progressing nicely-boarding is
finished and taping is well advanced. Windows will be
starting next week. The exterior is shaping up to
what should be an attractive building. We still
expect all four units to be finished before
Christmas.
Units 121, 122, and 123: The upper level and roofs of
122 and 123 are substantially framed. Unit 121 saw
the footings poured and the block walls about half
finished.
Units 117-120: The focus has been on 106 and 122 and
123 as all those units are sold with commitments made
for finishing them.
Units 101 and 102: I have a design meeting with
the architect on Tuesday to advance this.
Electrical System Up grade: Most of the cable has
been pulled through the conduit. Next week will see
the connections and probably this new system in
service. We've given notices to the residents /
owners re. the change over.
Walkways and landscaping: We've returned to tiling
some of the walkways now that construction is
completed in those areas. We've also started
relocating some plants.
Accidents: Over the past year, we haven't had many
and all have been minor. Even though we have safety
glasses and people do use them, things still seem to
find their way into eyes; no serious injuries. We
had one cut caused by a re-bar gouge which required a
few stitches. Last Saturday, the sub foreman received
a broken wrist -I'm not sure how as the foreman and I
were on our road trip. Normally he's a working
foreman (and a hard worker, he's always in the thick
of it); We'll keep the sub foreman on for
supervision.
Cable TV and Internet: Cabletica showed up to run
their trunk line. Another crew is suppose to complete
the next stage -we haven't seen them. When this system
is completed, residents will have the capability of
choosing their own level of service for either TV
and/or internet should they wish an internet system
other than the high speed wireless system we offer and
will continue to offer.
Marketing: We have several ads which appeared this
week and we've continued to distribute brochures. We
are beginning to get some responses. A number of
DVD's are in the mail. We've received several
interesting phone calls and promises of future
commitments.
Next Project: Paul and I plan to view some beach
property on Monday. This property resulted from my
trip last week. I have difficulty seeing us doing
anything there but we want to make an informed or at
least reaffirm this. We'll see.
Other: I'm in the process of commissioning a
feasibility study on a product which I feel has
potential here. I've wanted to do this for a number
of years but have now found someone who wants to run
with it. Perhaps at the end of the study I'll have a
new opportunity or be able to put the product to bed.

OUR LIVES
Between a root canal and future restorative work, a
cold, being the meat in the sandwich and getting
chewed on , and a computer problem, it's been a rather
lousy week for me and not much better for Lita. Hugo
and the parrot seem to be doing fine.
Sunday afternoon is our Thanksgiving dinner party.
Perhaps this and some mood altering beverages might
change my current mood. We are expecting around 30
people to enjoy a traditional turkey and ham dinner
with all the goodies. Hopefully the weather will
cooperate. There is not much we lack for here and the
benefits far, far out weight any inconveniences.
Brian, Lita, Hugo and irreverent Vicka, the pigeon toed parrot.
