Dear friends,

When I started Residencias Los Jardines, I started writing a weekly news letter -determined to tell all the good, bad, and the ugly. I knew some readers would be interested in the construction process. I expected others might be interested in the lifestyle of two people who had decided to live outside the box. For others, the adventures of Lita, the parrot and the cat took on an entertainment saga all its own.

Residencias Los Jardines is finished. We periodically have resales and rental availability. Some readers may be interested in this information.

More and more, the content will be dominated by events of our new project, "El Dorado" for short. While the future is always uncertain, I again aim to tell it like it happens -the good, the bad, and the ugly, and that is what follows.

Our Lives

WEATHER: the dry, less wind and more seasonal temperatures.

All in a Week's Living in CR:

ACA air: The trip to Toronto was great... TACA air is a great airline... and by stopping in San Salvador, we avoid all the security issues and the mega airports we'd otherwise have to get through. TACA even serves food and free booze... amazing...

Toronto is cold -it snowed last night- and is it's normal wintry self. However, the systems here do work and based on our CR mindset, are efficient. We're well on our way to getting the things done we need to... we're staying at a friends house while they are on a gambling junket... we're looking after their cat (which we've seen only once) and using their frig -and car... it's working well... They've stayed with us numerous times over the years so this is reciprocal and we are really appreciating it. We also have time to visit with friends and some of those have arranged get togethers with groups so we're able to see more people with more convenience. In fact, an event I started 20 years ago -a curry night- is still going strong and one is organized for me on Tuesday night to see old work mates... it will be fun... Last night we met two special friends of mine and went to a diner we knew and love... not gourmet food nor ambiance but comfort food in a nostalgic environment.

This was a busy time for me to leave... Several check outs, one closing, one change, and several short term occupancies by former owners / friends... managing it ahead of time was a lot of work... hopefully, all will go well.

Brian, Lita, the Late Hugo IV, irreverent Vicka, the pigeon toed parrot, Chico II and Chica II
