Dear friends,

When I started Residencias Los Jardines, I started writing a weekly newsletter -determined to tell all the good, bad, and the ugly. I knew some readers would be interested in the construction process. I expected others might be interested in the lifestyle of two people who had decided to live outside the box. For others, the adventures of Lita, the parrot and the cat took on an entertainment saga all its own.

Residencias Los Jardines is finished. We periodically have re-sales and rental availability. Some readers may be interested in this information.

Weather: Winds have been low / temperatures hotter / evenings warmer / life is great.

What Happened This Week:

Condo Administration: We did not get any suggestions for additional agenda items so we have gone with the original list. Discussion / debate has started and will likely increase in intensity and hyperbolic... I am exercising my perspective and point of view... we'll see if I am on the same wave length as others.

My Birthday Present -Has Legs and is still has legs!: well, it doesn't seem to end... we had another incident and are thoroughly mystified as to the cause. This is definitely not fun for anyone involved.

Check-ins: One more coming early March. This was a bit of an unusual client situation... but what I believe to be a good client. Someday the whole story might come out in some quarters; as of now... just happy to have him.

Vacancies: Two -112 and Paradisus...

Remembering my New Year's Resolution: I investigated and considered a different type of investment this past week. I remember somewhere along my life, the advice: "....if it roles, flies, floats, or is a woman, it is a bad investment..." well this one involved helicopters... the worst of the flying machines... The reward was great but I remembered... "stay out of trouble"... at the same time, a friend reminded me that in his case, one doesn't have to come to CR to get into trouble... he found it in eastern Canada...

New Year's Resolution: To stay out of trouble... short and sweet... difficult to do in CR... We'll see... and to remember a younger friend's observation: it is easier to stay away from trouble than to get out of it...

Oscar Aries, the most favorite son of CR and Nobel Peace Prize winner is besieged by allegations of sexual improprieties. His legacy will not be unstained.

CR has given 60 days for Maduro's government representatives to leave the country.

The central bank continues to try and stabilize the colon: US dollar exchange rate through a controlled devaluation.
